Currently in Seattle — July 22, 2024: Partly sunny, smoke & (finally) 70s

The weather, currently.

Until this week, we’ve seen record-breaking heat in Seattle: 18 straight days above 80 degrees. Monday should (fingers-crossed) break the trend, with temperatures starting to cool down in the coming week. 

What does that mean for Monday? A high of 76 and a low of 57.

With several new wildfires breaking out in the North Cascades over the weekend, the smoke is starting to close in. Air quality may be more hit-and-miss from here on out. Monday might bump Seattle into the moderately hazardous range, with an AQI of 54, but things should improve Tuesday.
