Currently in Seattle — August 22, 2024: Raincoat? You're probably fine

The weather, currently.

I know it feels like fall, but it is still summer, Seattle-style. Who has broken out their plaid yet? Thursday will look a lot like Wednesday, mostly cloudy and cool.

Should you pack a raincoat? There’s a 30 percent chance of showers on Thursday, especially in the afternoon and into the evening. As someone resistant to socks until autumn is truly upon us, I’d chance it. Though with the evening lows dipping into the high 50’s, it might be time to add a wool blanket to your bed.
